This memorial website was created in the memory of our friend, Aaron Borodach who was born  on March 02, 1985 and passed away on July 09, 2008 at the age of 23. We will remember him forever. 

Aaron was more than a friend to my husband, my children and myself, he was apart of our family.  Aaron was always there for us.  He was there for the birth of each of our (3) children and he continued to be apart of every birthday we celebrated. He was also apart of our wedding day.  My husband (Matt) and Aaron were joint at the hip from their younger days forward.  Wherever one was the other wasn't far behind.  Through out of school suspension to our wedding day, they were together. I didn't date Matt, I dated Matt and Aaron.  When one got in trouble the other one was right there cheering him on.  Aaron will never be forgotten by our family or his own as well as friends.   

Aaron will be greatly missed by myself, matt and our children as well as his mother (Laynie), stephfather (Gary), brother (Adam), sister (Angela), his girlfriend of many years(Christine) his grandma and pop pop, his aunts, uncles and cousins as well as all of his friends and family.

Aaron definately lived his life to the fullest he possibly could despite his young age.

Thunder motorcyclist dies of crash injuries

The single motorcycle accident that marred last month’s Thunder in the Valley festivities has claimed the life of a young local man.

Aaron Borodach, 23, of Richland Township, died early Wednesday in the intensive care unit of Memorial Medical Center, where he had been hospitalized since the June 28 accident, said Jeffrey Lees, chief deputy coroner.

Borodach died as a result of a severe head injury from blunt force trauma, and the death was listed as accidental, Lees said.

Borodach was wearing a helmet, and alcohol was not involved, Lees added.

A recent graduate of Wyotech tech-nical school, which has a campus in Blairsville, Borodach worked at Dunlo Transfer and Penn View Equipment as a diesel mechanic.

On June 28, Borodach left Thunder festivities in Johnstown at 2:37 p.m., riding a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle.

He entered the on-ramp of the Route 56 Bypass and was on the elevated Kernville Viaduct when he apparently lost control of his bike, police said at the time.

After he struck the barrier, Borodach was ejected about 100 feet from the ramp, while his cycle stayed on the bridge.

Johnstown police found him on the embankment near Bedford Street.

That accident left a Johnstown man with serious injuries.

Aaron Borodach, 23, was riding on the elevated Kernville Viaduct section of the Route 56 Bypass when he apparently lost control of his bike, city police Chief Craig Foust said.

The cycle stayed on the bridge, while Borodach fell over the side and landed near Bedford Street below.

“We located him on the embankment alongside the bypass,” Foust said, adding that Borodach was wearing a helmet.

The rider’s condition could not be determined Monday; a spokeswoman at Memorial Medical Center said she had no information on him.

BORODACH – Aaron, M., 23, Richland, passed away on July 9, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center as a result of a motorcycle accident during Thunder in the Valley. He was born on March 2, 1985, in Johnstown, son of Alayne M. (Willams) and Gary Boratko, Richland Township, and Andrew Borodach, Westmont. Preceded in death by his uncles, David R. Williams and Steven Borodach. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving siblings, Adam M. Borodach and Angela S. Boratko, both of Richland Township; maternal grandparents, Robert and Angela (Dill) Williams, Davidsville; paternal grandparents, Frances and Phyllis (Adams) Borodach, Westmont; stepgrandfather, Samuel Boratko, Southmont; loving girlfriend, Christine Ondesko, and her family, Michael, Jackie and Jimmy, all of Richland Township; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and loving godmother, Dorothy Samone, East Conemaugh. Aaron attended Richland High School, Class of 2003, and was a recent graduate of Wyotech. He was employed by Dunlo Transfer and Penn View Equipment as a diesel mechanic. Aaron was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church; Midnight Mudders; Black List Wheelers Association; and Solomon Run Volunteer Fireman’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, motorcycling, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and music. Aaron will be remembered for his embracing hugs. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Msgr. Robert Saly. Committal service will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
